gILLY
Gilly started coming to Straw Patch after her daughter Lucy took her own life in March 2022. Lucy was a friend of Sarah’s and wanted to help out at Straw Patch once she got better, but she never did. Sarah encouraged gilly to come to the gardening group and nearly 3 years later she still finds an outlet for her grief. She has had times when she just couldn’t get out of bed to attend but she has also had lots of fun and laughter, and done some hard work too. It’s been an amazing lifeline for her and hopefully she can continue attending for many years to come.
